Berchtesgaden National Park is a magnificent beauty of nature. Being part of the UNESCO biosphere reserve Berchtesgadener Land, it is the only German Alpine national park. 250 kilometers of hiking trails wait for you! And if you need to prioritize: visit Mount Watzmann, actually one of the most beautiful mountains! Tip: Visit the information point »Haus der Berge« in Berchtesgaden.

Lake Königssee is presumed to be the cleanest lake in Germany and owing to its embedment in cliffy slopes it appears almost like a fjord. With a depth of 192 meters, the lake remains pretty cold even in summer time. But that should not bother you as long as you are traveling with the ships of the Königssee fleet. Additional tip: the lake's landmark, pilgrimage church St. Bartholomä.

But they created something magic: a romantic mountain lake and a real enchanted forest. Of course, today there is an easy trail for your trip to Lake Hintersee and Zauberwald forest.
